Very time consuming. I ran across the Kijiji reader and eagerly hoped it would help me.

Try Kaspersky - Faster, Cleaner, More Frequent Updates to Keep You & Your Photos Safe !!!
I use it and recommend it!

Long story short, it did! And I found 4 one month old snow tires for my Sonata at a fantastic price! Then I turned to finding the rims. Wow! I put in all the local cities within 1.5 h of home here in Niagara. Since I could not find ANY RIMS in stores, this was now CRITICAL!

I found them too! Of course I always bid a slightly lower price but I got exactly what I needed for hundreds less than anywhere else.

You need to restrict your searches to the area you live or you will find tires or whatever YOU are looking for CITIES ALL ACROSS THE COUNTRY OR EVEN INTHE U.S. I know because I did make that mistake at first! (:-)

I have also used the Craigslist reader and it works just as well as the Kijiji reader. The other products I have not tried but if they are anywhere near as good as Kijiji Reader and Craigslist Reader, they will be gems!

JOB FINDER

BACKPAGE READER

KIJIJI READER

CRAIGSLIST READER

CAR FINDER

-Computermancan at yahoo.ca

Checkout
computermanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10089720734681665451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1537597717396423206.post-34276698771710524422009-02-07T20:28:00.003-05:002009-02-07T20:40:46.688-05:00Recovering Lost File in Word 2003 or 2007
How to recover a lost file in Word 2007 or in Word 2003

1) Try exploring or opening the Recycle Bin first. Of course I exaggerate, it may have ONLY been 25 to 50!

How would I know that?

Because most of those people DO NOT KNOW what BCC stands for!!!

Do you?

It means BLIND CARBON COPY. No it does NOT mean you should have sent it to a blind man instead of me!

That BCC on your email To: list [or there may be a little arrow right after the To: which gives you usually 3 choices.]

1) To: - I think you know this. Everybody sees everybody's email address from EVERY PERSON that forwarded it on! ALL EMAIL ADDRESSES PUT HERE ARE VISIBLE TO ALL PEOPLE THAT GET THE EMAIL FORWARDED TO THEM. Not yelling just emphasizing.

2) CC: - This is used when you want to send it To: someone and also send the exact same email to someone else who may be involved or want to see it. ONLY THE To: person and the CC: person get the email.

3) BCC: This is where you put all email addresses which you want to KEEP PRIVATE from everyone else who gets the email forwarded to them.

SO if we all learn BCC there will be a lot fewer emails forwarded with MONSTROUS LONG LISTS OF EMAIL ADDRESSES BEFORE YOU EVER SEE THE EMAIL! Not yelling, just emphasizing.

Isn't privacy a good thing? Do you really want everyone who you have NEVER met to see ALL of your FRIEND'S email addresses? I didn't think so.

Please use BCC and take a load off the poor old internet. No wonder it goes so slowly sometimes!!

BCC: takepity@oldinternet.com (:-)>computermanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10089720734681665451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1537597717396423206.post-53389783752778839692009-02-03T18:47:00.001-05:002009-03-25T13:28:12.810-04:00Computerman has sent you a message from Maximum PC

Computerman thought you would like to see the Maximum PC web site.

Message from Sender:

Wow. The format has to be converted to AVI or some other format which can be imported into a program to make the DVD.

There are many out there, some paid and some free. I always try the free first. Why pay if you do not need to? Just because they cost something does NOT make them better.

I found one that works very smoothly. It is called Pazera Free FLV to AVI Converter found at http://www.pazera-software.com/products/flv-to-avi-converter/. I had some 58 videos to convert and the program did them all flawlessly.

Then of course, you need to use software to make the DVD. Since almost all DVD burners come with that kind of software, I will not discuss much about that. However it is safe to say that two FREE products stand out in my mind. They are Ashampoo's Burning Studio 6 FREE. They will bug you about upgrading to V8 but it is worth the bugging to get such a simple straight-forward product. Also CDBURNERXP deserves honorable mention as another free product I often use. Both of them work seamlessly and well.

Two places on the web have come to my attention where downloading and conversions are possible.

WWW.keepvid.com will help you download, convert to many formats and play flv files.

Tubegrip.com will download videos as well. There also is a free desktop downloader with limited conversion formats.

I have not used either of the above, but try them out and let me know if they work for you.

computermanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10089720734681665451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1537597717396423206.post-86021954154951954832008-11-24T06:00:00.002-05:002008-11-25T08:40:33.497-05:00Useful Tips
It is possible that the most important thing you can do about computer security is NOT JUST to get the best antivirus or internet security product, BUT to keep your computer up to date.

If you have automatic updates enabled on your computer, that is good. However there are many common programs for which you may NOT have the latest updates which often are created to plug holes which could allow a hacker to mess up your computer.

One solution is a free utility, called Secunia found at http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/online. You can choose to download the desktop version or run a scan while you wait online.

computermanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10089720734681665451noreply@blogger.com0
